  • Classes meet from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Classes are located at Associated Builders & Contractors of Southeast Texas campus located at 2700 N Twin City Hwy, Nederland, TX 77627.

What will students learn?

NCCER CORE covering: basic safety, construction site orientation, construction math, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging, communication skills, employability skills and material handling.

NCCER 建设 Site Laborer Level 1, covering:

  • Orientation to the Trade - Building Materials, Fasteners and Adhesives.
  • Properties of Concrete - Describes the properties, characteristics, and uses of cement, aggregates, and other materials used in different types of 混凝土. Covers procedures for estimating 混凝土 volume and testing freshly mixed 混凝土, as well as methods and materials for curing 混凝土.
  • Site Layout One–Differential leveling - Covers the principles, equipment, and methods used to perform differential leveling. Also covers the layout responsibilities of surveyors, field engineers, and carpenters; interpretation and use of site/plot plan drawings; the use of laser instruments; and methods used for on-site communication.
  • Handling and Placing Concrete - Covers tools, equipment, and procedures for safely handling, placing, and finishing 混凝土. Describes joints made in 混凝土 structures and the use of joint sealants.
  • Foundations and Slab-on-Grade - Covers basic site layout safety, tools, and methods; layout and construction of deep and shallow foundations; types of foundation forms; layout and formation of slabs-on-grade; and forms used for curbing and paving.

No, because of the length of the course, the Texas Department of State Health 服务 does not require that students provide proof of a bacterial meningitis vaccination.

All training supplies will be provided.

学生s must complete each course during the session in which they are enrolled. No partial credit will be awarded. 学生s falling below 70% of attendance will be automatically dropped from the course. 学生s must maintain a grade average in excess of 70 in order to pass the course. Only students who successfully pass the course will be awarded NCCER Certification.
